Our Story
Nigel Clarke, owner and operator of Nigel Clarke Earthmoving, has been passionate about civil work since getting behind the controls of a digger at 16.
Nigel’s journey began with a drainlaying and plumbing apprenticeship, followed by years of driving trucks and earthmoving machinery. Coming from a family involved in similar industries, including an uncle in the earthmoving business, Nigel was inspired to start his own earthworks company in 2001, initially on the North Shore.
Originally from Kaiwaka, his father was the local electrician and his grandfather built the local shops, Nigel returned to the area 15 years ago. For Nigel, it’s not just about the work—it’s about transforming rugged landscapes into something people can be proud of.
